Volunteer: WorX Staff Opportunities

Paid and volunteer opportunities are available for our local middle school daytime program (ServiceworX) and our immersive overnight program for high schoolers (JusticeworX). Primary responsibilities will be assisting in overseeing daily operations of worX trips, serving as a role model for participants, engaging participants, assisting with prayer services, leading small groups in service and reflection activities. Catholic school educators in need of professional and/or spiritual continuing education hours (free of cost) are especially encouraged to apply. Commitments can range from one week to six weeks of programming and are based on your availability. Volunteer: Helping Hands at Lakeview School

Lakeview School is an approved private school for children with multiple disabilities ages three to twenty-one. Lakeview provides academics, pre-vocational and living skills programs. This opportunity invites volunteers to spend time in classrooms assisting with a lesson or activity which has been designed by the teachers. Volunteers participate in a brief orientation about Lakeview and the students they will meet before joining the classrooms. Students and teachers enjoy having visitors in the school and volunteers find that this is a rewarding opportunity to spend time with some amazing children.

Volunteer: Spruce It Up!

This is an opportunity for a group of volunteers that wants to do spruce up projects at one of our adult or teen residential homes. Projects may include light landscaping, seasonal planting and decorating, interior and exterior window washing, dusting and polishing furniture and organizing cabinets or storages areas. Residential homes are located in several counties so please indicate your location when responding to the opportunity posting.

NJID's group homes provide personal assistance and medical oversight for adults requiring specialized care. We also operate three homes that provide compassionate care for teens with disabilities.

Volunteer: Crafts and Creativity with ATC

This opportunity is for a group of volunteers to visit one of our adult training center (ATC) program sites and assist with a craft or activity that has been designed by the staff. Our adult day facilities provide comprehensive services for adults with disabilities including meaningful personal development services and vocational and job readiness training. Volunteer: Volunteer Confidential Sexual Violence Advocates

We are always recruiting individuals over the age of 18 who would like to assist survivors of sexual violence. No experience is necessary to take advantage of this opportunity.
